AKIPRESS.COM - President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev chaired the meeting on socio-economic development of the country and forecast for the first half of this year.

The gross domestic product is expected to grow by 5.4 percent, industrial output - by 7 percent, construction - by 9.6 percent, and services - by 13.9 percent in the first half of 2019.

He instructed to take additional measures to accelerate the implementation of programs and specific investment projects developed as part of the head of state’s visits to the regions, as well as to form new projects.

The meeting heard reports of the heads of the Cabinet of Ministers, ministries and departments, business associations and regions. The measures to increase the personal responsibility of the relevant managers for the unconditional achievement of the forecast indicators and specific objectives for the development of each industry and region were identified.
