New horse trekking route opens from Suusamyr to Son Kul

AKIPRESS.COM - On July 26, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Kyrgyz Tourism LLC will officially inaugurate a new horse trekking tour from Suusamyr valley to Son Kul lake, the US Embassy in Bishkek said.

The ceremony will take place on Friday, July 26 from 12:00 to 16:00 in Kyzyl Oi village of Suusamyr valley. Representatives of the Ministry of Culture, Information and Tourism, USAID, local authorities are expected to attend the event.

USAID provided 14 sets of high-quality riding equipment to ensure safe and comfortable horse-riding treks for international tourists. Aisha Mambetalieva, owner of Kyrgyz Tourism, was among 11 finalists who received grants for their best business ideas under USAID’s Enterprise Competitiveness Project.

The celebration will also include master classes on horse saddling, demonstration of the new tour, food, and an entertainment program.
