Poland funds solid waste recycling project in Mongolia

AKIPRESS.COM - A solid waste recycling plant will be built in Erdenet city of Mongolia, Montsame reported.

The Government of Poland funds the project with soft loan of EUR 9 million.

‘Ppeich Meliorex’ company of Poland has been selected as contractor of the project. Thus, Governor of Orkhon aimag D.Batlut and Director of Ppeich Meliorex Company Mikhail Vashenuk officially signed the project agreement on July 24.

Orkhon aimag has two disposal sites, covering 83.3 ha of land in total. As of 2016, 5 million cubic meters of garbage have been accumulated in these sites as mentioned in a research conducted by a professional organization.

Apart from building waste recycling plant, works such as developing landfill site and supplying waste disposal equipment will be realized within the project.

The construction progress of the waste recycling plant is expected to fully completed and handed over by September, 30, 2021.
