Kazakhstan attracts $6 billion investment in H1 2019

AKIPRESS.COM - Capital inflows to Kazakhstan were recorded at $6 billion in the first quarter of 2019, Kazakh TVreported.

The country this year entered the top 30 leaders in “Ease of Doing Business” ranking. The significant breakthrough was made based on indicators such as receiving construction permit and quick bankruptcy procedure.

There are 12 special economic zones and 22 industrial zones in the country. Project Manager of Investment Company, Alida Tuyebekova said that the opening of a limited liability partnership with foreign participation takes about three to four business days.

According to Managing Director of Consulting Company, Maksat Kurbenov, many companies in China and the United States are reviewing new markets for their products. That means they are planning to move their factories to new countries, he said.

The gross inflow of foreign direct investment in the economy of Kazakhstan was more than $24 billion in 2018. Kazakhstan is planning to double this figure.
