Talas P.E. teacher walks 12 km every day to teach children

AKIPRESS.COM - A 33-year-old Talas man Urmat Nusupov is a P.E. school teacher, who walks 12 km daily from home to school.

He said he likes sport, and decided to stay in his village to become a teacher after graduation from Jalal-Abad State University, where he majored in physical education and sport.

"12 km is not a big distance for me, because I like teaching," he shares.

The school where he works has 200 children. He is the only male teacher at school.

"I realized that I chose a good profession when some high school graduates came up to me asking for university recommendations and saying that they wanted to become a teacher like me," he said.
