AKIPRESS.COM - Journalists visited a slaughterhouse that operates in the Bash-Dobo village council of Uzgen district during a press-tour.
The opening ceremony was held a month ago. To date, 20-25 heads of cattle and 40 heads of small cattle are slaughtered daily. The slaughterhouse has a veterinary laboratory, after verification of which the meat is sold to the markets. In addition, the Uzgen residents bring cattle to slaughterhouse during various celebrations and events, said the head of the department of the State Inspectorate for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Daniyar Mamataliyev.
The products are not exported yet, though the new slaughterhouse meets all the EAEU standards.
According to slaughterhouse representative Zaina Bazarbayeva, the slaughterhouse was opened on the basis of brood horse ranch. “We have feeding base and we sent over 200 heads of cattle to pasture annually in spring, the cattle return in the fall and after additional feeding, they are sent to slaughterhouse. The slaughterhouse receives orders from local population,” she said.
A loan for 13 million soms at 6% per annum was taken for opening this slaughterhouse. Own financing totaled 3 million soms. To date, 16 people are working in the slaughterhouse.
