AKIPRESS.COM - President of Russia Vladimir Putin was informed about the attempt to arrest former President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev and monitors the situation, Interfax reported citing the Kremlin's press office.

Special forces launched an operation to detain Atambayev on August 7.
