AKIPRESS.COM - President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Chevron Corporation Michael Wirth, the press service of the Akorda reported.

They discussed implementation of a number of projects in the oil industry, as well as prospects of cooperation between Kazakhstan and Chevron. They also talked about possibilities for new investments to the country.

The head of state expressed his gratitude to Michael Wirth for fruitful cooperation, and noted the favorable investment climate created in our country for foreign business.

Michael Wirth stressed Kazakhstan has been an important partner of his company over the long period of time. The American businessman highly appreciated the professionalism of the management team of the subsidiary “Tengizchevroil”, 77% of which are citizens of Kazakhstan. He also said that this numbers will grow as both sides go forward.
