Mongolian President says he revokes his proposal on Constitutional amendments and proposals

AKIPRESS.COM - President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga on September 9 notified Chairman of the State Great Khural G.Zandanshatar of his decision to fully withdraw from the reading stage his proposals for the bill on amending the Constitution as well as the Constitutional Amendment Bill, which he submitted, in an official letter, Montsame reported.

In the official letter, the President mentioned that “it was necessary to provide the citizens with an opportunity of choosing the form of government as provided in the Constitution and resolve the matter at once,” and forwarded a draft Parliamentary Resolution on Conducting a Referendum that he formulated.

Chief of Staff to the President, Z. Enkhbold presented the official letter to Chairman G.Zandanshatar.
