Life in rural Kyrgyzstan: 27 years old. Mother of 6. Illiterate

AKIPRESS.COM - Turmush correspondent met Jazgul Rayimbek kyzy, a mother of 6 at just 27 years.

A young woman was born in Uzgen, Osh region and lives in the outskirts of Bishkek.

"I ended up in the capital when I was 10, my father brought me here. After 5 years, I got married. Now I have 6 children aged 11, 9, 8, 6, 5 and 3. I've never attended the school. I don't understand why I got married so young, but I was friends with my future husband," she recollects.

The woman is illiterate, which does not allow her to get a decent job. She has to pick up bottles from the landfill site for a living.

The family lives in a rented house near the landfill site. The 29-year-old husband makes bricks during the summer time, and then he joins his wife during the winter time.

"We try so hard to build our own home," Jazgul says.
