AKIPRESS.COM - Vice Minister of Trade and Integration Kairat Torebayev will represent the Kazakh delegation at 18th AREC meeting, which will be held in Tashkent on November 19, 2019, the press service of the Prime Minister reported.

Consultation meeting with the National Focal Points of the Central Asian Regional Economic Cooperation was held Sepember 24 in Tashkent.

During the meeting, preparations for the XVIII Ministerial Conference, the CAREC 2030 Transport Strategy and the CAREC 2030 Energy Strategy, and the implementation of the CAREC 2030 Strategy were discussed.

The participants also discussed in detail the implementation of the CAREC 2030 Integrated Trade Program, including the CAREC pilot project on improving the transit system and the general exchange of information, as well as holding a workshop on the World Trade Organization Agreement on trade facilitation, which will be held in October 2019.

In addition, the vice minister briefed the meeting on the successful implementation of the CAREC 2030 Strategy in various fields in Kazakhstan.
