9th meeting of heads of Mongolian-S.Korean Customs Agencies held

AKIPRESS.COM - The 9th meeting of heads of Mongolian-S.Korean Customs Agencies took place on September 30 in Ulaanbaatar city, Montsame reports.

During the meeting, Director-General of the Customs General Administration B.Asralt and Commissioner of South Korea Customs Service Kim Yung-Moon signed an agreement of mutual acceptance on accredited entity program and protocol of the 9th meeting.

Trade turnover between Mongolia and the Republic of Korea reached USD 4 billion as of last 15 years. Therefore, the customs agencies of the two countries have studied establishing the agreement since 2015 and signed today. The agreement would become an important impetus to increase the trade turnover, highlighted the sides.

In addition, the sides shared views on result of ‘Providing consulting services to customs reform’ project being implemented by S.Korea Customs Service in collaboration with the Customs General Administration of Mongolia.

The sides also exchanged opinions on collaborating in law enforcement sector, sharing practices, exchanging information on loading of export products in advance and learning from methods on putting control in online trade.
