AKIPRESS.COM - President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in Ashgabat met with President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Akorda reports.

The two underlined the high level of political dialogue between Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan.

Tokayev thanked the Turkmen leader for his hospitality and noted his contribution for the development of the Kazakh-Turkmen relations.

“I am grateful to you for the hospitality extended to me from the first minutes of my stay in the sacred Turkmen land. I am glad to be back in Ashgabat, which impresses with its beauty. I have a representative delegation with me, and we have a number of promising projects. I believe that cooperation between our countries is developing in an upward direction. This is a great merit of the First President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev and, of course, your merit,” Tokayev said.

The two Presidents discussed a wide range of issues on the bilateral agenda, the situation in the region, as well as cooperation in various international formats.
