CIS heads of state sign 4 documents as a result of summit in Ashgabat

AKIPRESS.COM - Presidents and representatives of the CIS countries at the summit that was held in Ashgabat signed several documents on cooperation.

They signed the following:

1. Declaration on strategic economic cooperation of the member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States;

2. Address of the Heads of state-participants of the Commonwealth of Independent States to the peoples of the Commonwealth countries and the world community in connection with the 75th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945;

3. Convention of the state-participants to the Commonwealth of Independent States on the transfer of non-custodial sentences;

4. Programme of cooperation of the Commonwealth of Independent States member states in the fight against terrorism and other violent manifestations of extremism for 2020-2022.

The summit was also attended by the leaders of Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.

During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on multifaceted cooperation within the Commonwealth of Independent States, as well as discussed the issues related to the CIS presidency in 2020 and chairman of the CIS Executive Committee.
