South Korean company donates drone to Mongolia for air pollution measurement

AKIPRESS.COM - South Korean company '3STECH' made a donation of their new technology of unmanned aerial vehicle or commonly known as drone and equipment to the Mongolian Ministry of Environment and Tourism and the National Agency of Meteorology and Environment Monitoring for studies of air pollution and spread of air pollutants as well as environmental monitoring, Montsame reports.

Aimed at improving weather and environment in Mongolia, the drone and monitoring conservation equipment are designed for effectively detecting, quantifying and monitoring pollutants in the air and performing environmental monitoring and weather survey in high altitude of up to 3000 meters in vertical directions. Apart from identifying main weather elements – air temperature, humidity, atmospheric pressure, wind, the equipment is able to determine the spread of air pollutant matters in vertical and horizontal directions of РМ10, РМ2.5 and РМ1.

The use of drone and monitoring observation equipment in environment field varies widely, from detecting wildlife fires, managing the spread of wildfires, supporting weather modification actions and animal migration tracking, fighting poaching and during other emergency situations.
