New Ambassador of Italy presents credentials in Mongolian President

AKIPRESS.COM - New Ambassador of Italy to Mongolia Laura Botta presented her Letter of Credence to President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga on October 31, Montsame reported.

At the meeting held following the ceremony, President Battulga received Ambassador Laura Botta and the sides exchanged views on intensifying the bilateral cooperation on sectors of agriculture and tourism that has a significant impact on the development of the two countries.

Despite the fact that Mongolia is located in the tourist region, Mongolia is receiving insufficient number of tourists, moreover, although number of livestock has increased, the manufacturing sector has not adequately developed yet. Stressing these issues, Battulga expressed his willingness to cooperate with Italy which has been implementing successful policies and management in these sectors.

In this regard, the sides held a wide range of conversation on introducing Italian management and technology in jointly implementing projects Leather Processing Industry which is being built in Darkhan and policy in Tourism Sector etc.

Moreover, the sides shared views on cultural events and other activities for celebration of 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between two countries which will mark in 2020.

Following the meeting, the President congratulated Laura Botta on her appointment and extended his sincere greeting to the President of Italian Republic Sergio Mattarella.
