Pay increase to be felt by teachers in mountainous, border areas of Kyrgyzstan: Minister

AKIPRESS.COM - Pay increase will be felt primarily by teachers working in mountainous and border areas of Kyrgyzstan, Minister of Education and Science Kanybek Isakov said.

According to the Education Minister, teachers may receive from 20,000 to 30,000 soms in mountainous parts of the country.

“Their salary was high before. After 30% pay increase, it will be higher,” the Minister said.

The Kyrgyz government has provided 30% pay increase for teachers from October 1.
