Kazakh President meets former President of Slovenia

AKIPRESS.COM - President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a meeting with former Slovenian President Danilo Turk, who arrived in Nur-Sultan to participate in the meeting of the Astana Club International discussion platform, Akorda reports.

The interlocutors discussed the issues of the UN development, exchanged views on pressing issues of the international agenda. They also noted the need for strengthening multilateral cooperation in all spheres, particularly in the economic dimension.

Expressing hope that the upcoming WTO Ministerial Conference to be held in June 2020 in Nur-Sultan will be successful, the Slovenian politician noted that Kazakhstan rightfully plays an active role in multilateral activities, including in trade, as well as ensuring peace and security.
