AKIPRESS.COM - The Parliament of Mongolia adopted a bill on ratifying the Treaty on Friendly Relations and Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Mongolia and the Russian Federation on November 28, Montsame reports.
Heads of state of Mongolia and Russia, Vladimir Putin and Kh.Battulga signed the Treaty in Ulaanbaatar city on September 3. According to the agreement, the two countries strive to expand and deepen the mutually beneficial cooperation and comprehensive strategic partnership.
During the Parliamentary session, it was presented that the bill ratification leads to strengthening the bilateral ties and cooperation in wide array of fields, such as political, economic, trade, business, infrastructural and humanitarian and reinforcing people-to-people connections.
In particular, fast-growing trade relations between Mongolia and Russia to be achieved and favorable conditions for business entities of mutual sides to be created by pursuing policy of open economy by the two nations. The treaty with an open-ended validity contains new directions of cooperation, including information, innovation, parliamentary ties, green environment protection, criminal law, combating against financial crime and money laundering.
