Campaign against HIV/AIDS held in Balykchy town

AKIPRESS.COM - A campaign against HIV was held in Balykchy town, Issyk-Kul region, Turmush reports.

The marching on the Day against HIV was attended by school children and students from the town.

As of October 1, 2019 the number of HIV positive people in Kyrgyzstan was 9,435 people, including 8,919 citizens of Kyrgyzstan, 5,719 men and 3,200 women.

The number of AIDS patients in the country is 1,019.

In Issyk-Kul, the number of HIV positive people was 286, including 36 in Balykchy, 4 people died.
