Kanyshbek Saginbayeva was the former Vice Speaker of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the Kyrgyz Soviet Socialist Republic.

She was member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Kyrgyz Soviet Socialist Republic, member of the Supreme Council of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of several convocations, Hero of the Socialist Labor (the highest degree of distinction for exceptional achievements in national economy and culture, had same status as Hero of the Soviet Union that was awarded for heroic deeds).

She was awarded the Order of Lenin (the highest civilian decoration), the Order of the Red Banner, Order of the October Revolution.

She was laureate of the state award of the Kyrgyz Soviet Socialist Republic.

Kanyshbek Saginbayeva has started working at the 40 Years of October Sewing Factory since 1960 and has worked there until retirement.
