
AKIPRESS.COM - The number of rare animals and birds in restricted nature parks is observed in Kyrgyzstan, according to the photo traps installed in the Karatal-Japyryk Nature Reserve.
More than 350 species of rare wild birds fly to Kyrgyzstan yearly. Kyrgyzstan is home to more than 400 species of rare wild birds now, 57 of them are endangered, the State Environmental Protection and Forestry Agency said.
233 species of birds nest in Kyrgyzstan, 114 of them do not leave the country, 28 birds fly to Kyrgyzstan in winter time.
The Karatal-Japyryk Reserve occupies 36,392 ha.
