Import of leather goods reduces by 2.2 times in Kyrgyzstan in 2019

AKIPRESS.COM - The foreign trade turnover of Kyrgyzstan in January-November 2019 amounted to more than $6 billion and compared with January-November 2018, decreased by 2.6%, head of the National Statistics Committee Akylbek Sultanov told a press conference in Bishkek.

According to him, export increased by 9.4%, and import revenues decreased by 6.6%.

The decline of import revenues compared to January-November 2018 is due to a decrease in the import of leather products by 2.2 times, clothing and accessories - by 1.8 times, shoes - by 27.8%, sugar and confectionery from sugar - by 25.7%, chemical threads and fibers - by 23.2%, oil and oil products - by 21.2%, plastics and products from it - by 11.7%, rubber and products from it - by 6 , 1%, he said.
