‘Eco’ electric buses launched in Ulaanbaatar

AKIPRESS.COM - Within the framework of actions for reducing air pollution, ‘Passenger Transport Service’ public-owned company is testing ‘Eco’ electric bus service from today in routes along the city center. The bus has 36 passenger seats and its length is 12 meter.

It is possible to fully charge the buses at designated points within 8-15 minutes. The electric bus has a capacity to travel 200 km in warm season and it will be tested for three months.

The use of electric buses in public transportation service of the city will decrease emission of greenhouse gas, carbon monoxide, nitrogen dioxide, sulfuric gas and dust and improve air quality in the city.
