
AKIPRESS.COM - Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Roman Sklyar held a meeting in connection with the emergency situation on the national roads due to severe weather conditions on January 27, the press service of the Prime Minister reports.
To date, 750 people have been saved on the highways, including 139 children; 47 people were evacuated, including 11 children, more than 1,500 pieces of equipment were rescued from drifts.
The Interior Minister said 1,644 people and 1,153 pieces of equipment were mobilized in emergency rescue operations.
Following the meeting, Sklyar ordered to keep this issue under constant monitoring.
The Ministries of National Economy and Internal Affairs were tasked to accelerate the dismantling of the state reserve and the transfer of snow-removing equipment to the regions, Nur-Sultan and KazAvtoZhol JS NC.
