Mongolian doctor volunteers to go to Wuhan

AKIPRESS.COM - Doctor J.Amarsaikhan, who was previously Deputy Minister of Health of Mongolia, has posted on Facebook his desire to go as a volunteer Wuhan where the deadly coronavirus infection began, the news.mn reported.

The post said that J.Amarsaikhan planned to fly to Wuhan on 2 February.

However, the Ministry of Health is not encouraging anyone to visit the Chinese city, this is due to the quarantine measures introduced in Mongolia. Ultimately, this is for the individual to decide.

There is increasing fake news around the world about the coronavirus crisis. Social media in Mongolia reported that over 60 of the county’s doctors have been sent to Wuhan. This has officially been denied.

As of Wednesday, 29 January, there were 6,061 confirmed cases of the virus on mainland China, including 132 deaths, according to Chinese officials. The number of cases grew by around 1,500 from Tuesday – an increase of more than 30%.
