
AKIPRESS.COM - President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received Vice Prime Minister Roman Sklyar, Akorda reported.
The head of state was briefed on the works that have been done to create an Open Sky mode in Kazakhstan.
This year, 14 new routes of leading airlines from Qatar, Poland, Oman, Belarus, Malaysia, Romania, the UAE, Kuwait are expected to open, Sklyar said.
According to him, the government is in talks with the aviation authorities of Switzerland, South Korea, Singapore, Latvia and Lithuania.
Sklyar said that teh 12 new routes, including from Nur-Sultan to Prague, Ulaanbaatar and Tokyo, were launched in 2019.
The President ordered to continue active work on expanding air communications with other countries and increate cargo transportations through the main airports of Kazakhstan.
