Teachers' salaries rise by 25% from Jan. 2020 in Kazakhstan

AKIPRESS.COM - Vice Minister of Education and Science of Kazakhstan Bibigul Assylova told about the first results of the implementation of the Law “On the Teacher’s Status”, the press service of the Prime Minister reported. 

According to her, from Jan. 1, 2020, teachers' salaries increased by 25%. Their salaries are raised as part of the execution of the order of the President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, to double teachers' salaries within four years, she said.

The new law also addresses the issue of reducing the burden on teachers. If until today the load on teachers of secondary schools was 18 hours, now it is reduced to 16 hours. The curriculum is also reduced, respectively, the teacher will have time for additional classes, self-education, etc., the load on the teacher will be reduced.
