
AKIPRESS.COM - A measles outbreak has been registered in a university of Arkalyk town of Kostanay region in Kazakhstan, Informburo.kz reported.
27 students were infected measles, two more people were diagnosed measles in the town.
Sanitary doctors said that the virus was imported from other regions, because the disease appeared when students returned to the town after holidays from Turkestan, Almaty, Kyzylorda and Kostanay regions.
The epidemiological situation in Arkalyk is under the control, doctors say.
According to the World Health Organization, measles is a very serious virus disease transmitted by airborne droplets.
