AKIPRESS.COM - Special forces were mobilized to the Ala-Too Square to disperse the protesters demanding jailed politician Sadyr Japarov's release. Hundreds of people took to the central square of Bishkek on March 2.
In the evening, some part of the protesters headed to the White House, while other part remained in the square calling for avoiding any provocations.
They managed to break through the police cordon.
Several riot vans with policemen were seen on Chui Avenue.
Special means, including 3 water cannons, were used to disperse the protesters, some of them were detained. Explosions were heard.
By 6:40 pm, the crowd was completely gone from the Ala-Too square.
