Mongolia seeks to repatriate its citizens from Turkey

AKIPRESS.COM - Secretary of State of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia D.Davaasuren today received Ambassador of Turkey to Mongolia Ahmet Yazal, Montsame reports.

The sides first exchanged information about measures being taken to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus.

As Mongolia has temporarily suspended flights to and from the country, Secretary of State D.Davaasuren informed about a charter flight that is to be arranged by the government of Mongolia to repatriate its citizens who are currently in Turkey on a short term visa and have reasonable excuses, in accordance with a decision made by the State Emergency Commission of Mongolia.

Mr. Davaasuren asked for the Turkish support on organizing testing for the coronavirus from the Mongolian nationals to be evacuated from Turkey, as required by the Mongolian Emergency Commission and Ministry of Health.
