Air Astana restricts flights to/from Kazakhstan until end of emergency situation

AKIPRESS.COM - Air Astana has received information from the government, restricting flights to and from the country, the company said.

This is effective from 08.00am on Monday 16 March, until 07.00am on 15th April.

In light of this information, all Kazakh citizens overseas will still have the opportunity to return to the Republic of Kazakhstan.

"Air Astana’s 24/7 Call Centre is in heavy demand since the announcement and we thank you for your patience for the time taken to handle the extra volume of calls. Passengers whose flight has been interrupted will be contacted by Air Astana. Air Astana requests that if your flight is more than a week in the future, you do not contact the Call Centre, enabling us to manage those travelling within the next seven days first," the statement said.

A nationwide emergency situation will last from March 16 to April 15.
