Kyrgyzstan confirms 6 more new cases of coronavirus, 12 in total

AKIPRESS.COM - As of the morning of March 21, 6 more new cases of coronavirus infection have been detected in Kyrgyzstan, Deputy Health Minister Tolo Isakov told a briefing.

1 new case was detected in Batken district and 5 in Suzak district. The total number of people tested positive for coronavirus in Kyrgyzstan is 12 today.

"They are under medical supervision," Isakov said. All the new cases are imported ones, these are people who went to small hajj, they are aged between 45 and 70 years old, Isakov said.

The first 6 cases were revealed among pilgrims who returned from Saudi Arabia after performing small hajj.

 Nookat district where coronavirus cases were first revealed declared the emergency situation and was locked down.
