Eurasian Intergovernmental Council to meet in Yerevan in October

AKIPRESS.COM - The Eurasian Intergovernmental Council will next meet in Yerevan in October, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan of Armenia said at the meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in Minsk on 17 July, BelTA reported.

“I would like to remind you that Armenia had expressed readiness to host the next meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in Yerevan. I am happy that we have made the decision. I am looking forward to seeing all of you in Yerevan in October,” Nikol Pashinyan said.

The agenda of today's meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council includes a wide range of issues related to Eurasian integration in trade, the operation of the domestic market, competition, industry, technical regulation and others.

The participants of the meeting are considering the implementation of the agreement on marking of goods and further development of the marking system in the Eurasian Economic Union. The agenda also includes a comprehensive plan of measures in healthcare and sanitary and epidemiological wellbeing of the population to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection COVID-19 and other infectious diseases in the Union, the EAEU agro-industry development map and the Union's industrialization map.
