AKIPRESS.COM - A pump station was launched in Kapchigai village, Batken district of Batken region, rural municipality governor Saatbek Anarov said.

The village did not have a pump station before and had problems with water supply.

The construction of the pump station was supported by UNDP and from the local budget. It will irrigate 18 ha of fields.

Construction of another pump station is planned, since one station is not enough to supply villagers with potable water and irrigation water.

The population of Kapchgai village makes 747 people.
