EU to provide $43.2 million to Mongolia for COVID-19 fight

AKIPRESS.COM - Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia N. Enkhtaivan met Ambassador of European Union Traian Laurentiu Hristea on July 21, Montsame reports.

Ambassador announced that EU will provide Mongolia $43.2 million for fight against COVID-19 pandemic.

N. Enkhtaivan expressed gratitude for assistance and asked Ambassador to support and protect the interests of Mongolian nationals in EU member countries.

Sides also discussed expansion of economic relations and boosting of trade and investments between Mongolia and EU.

EU Ambassador examined the Mongolian side’s proposal to establish factories of EU-standard products to leverage Generalized System of Preferences.
