Potato harvesting nears completion in Issyk-Kul region

AKIPRESS.COM - Potato harvesting is in progress in Jety-Oguz district of Issyk-Kul region, farmers said.

Harvesting is 76.4% complete.

Potato was sown on 5,523 ha this year. Some 77,469 tons of potatoes were picked up from 4,217 ha, they added.

Harvested potato is bought by clients from Bishkek, Kazakhstan.

The yield is moderate this year. 80 sacks of potatoes were picked up from 20 ares of land.
