Revenue from gold export has increased by $800 million in Mongolia

AKIPRESS.COM - Revenue from gold export has increased by $800 million in Mongolia, the Bank of Mongolia reports.

As of October 20, the Central Bank purchased 18.9 tons of precious metals or 7 tons more than in the same period of last year.

The Central Bank will increase its foreign currency reserve by $1.2 billion this year by purchasing 21 tons of precious metals.

The foreign currency reserve reached $3.697 billion at the end of September growing by 1.2 percent from the previous month.

The Central Bank is providing soft-loan financing to gold mining companies within the framework of the Gold-2 program.
