Mongolia, Vietnam foreign ministries hold consultations

AKIPRESS.COM - Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia B.Munkhjin and his Vietnamese counterpart Le Hoai Trung held 9th consultative meeting between the foreign ministries on Dec 9, Montsame reports.

During the meeting, the sides discussed in detail the deepening of traditionally friendly relations between Mongolia and Vietnam, strengthening political dialogue and mutual understanding, and expanding the scope of cooperation in trade, investment, economic and other fields.

The sides expressed satisfaction with the regular high-level visits and talks between Mongolia and Vietnam, and the active development in security and defense cooperation and agreed to hold planned high-level visits and events after COVID-19 pandemic subsides.

Deputy Foreign Minister B.Munkhjin noted that Mongolia considers Vietnam as one of the key partners in Southeast Asia and attaches great importance to deepening relations in all fields, while underscoring the importance of further enriching bilateral relations with economic content and expanding cooperation in the fields of transportation, agriculture and light industry.

Moreover, the sides exchanged views on expanding cooperation at the international and regional levels.
