
AKIPRESS.COM - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan together with the Embassy of Uzbekistan in India and the Embassy of India in Tashkent together with the Bureau of Indian Standards are enhancing cooperation in standardization and conformity assessment, UzA reported.
Based on the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) Programme, special attention is paid to science, advanced training of workers in standardization and management systems.
A virtual summit of the heads of state of Uzbekistan and India was held on December 11. A number of bilateral documents were signed in economic sphere, innovations, financial and technical support, customs, personnel training and joint research projects. A Cooperation Agreement was signed between the Bureau of Indian Standards and Uzstandard Agency.
The agreement creates a regulatory framework for mutual recognition of standardization certificates, conformity assessment of test results and certificates of conformity, cooperation, organization of trainings and workshops to exchange experience.
