4 villages in Alay district to get access to potable water

AKIPRESS.COM - Three water collection points were built in Alay district of Osh region, which will supply 4 villages with potable water, Korul rural municipality governor Jirgalbek Askerbek uulu said.

The pipes were stretched for 36 km to supply villages with water, he said.

Each house will be connected to water supply network. Meters will be installed to control use of water and ensure it is used reasonably, he added.

This project was launched in September 2019 together with a non-governmental organization. Its budget makes 69.361 million soms.

20% of households of 4 villages have been connected to water supply infrastructure now. The work was stopped in winter, but will be resumed in spring. Before villagers used water from irrigation canals.

Korual rural municipality includes 4 villages of 1,364 households.
