India to send 1.5 million doses of coronavirus vaccine to Mongolia

AKIPRESS.COM - As part of India's vaccine diplomacy, India has donated millions of doses of the British-developed AstraZeneca vaccine against COVID-19 produced in the country to neighboring Asian countries, according to the Times of India.

The Indian government is expected to send 1.5 million doses to Mongolia, 5 million doses to Afghanistan, 2 million doses to Nicaragua, 100,000 doses to Barbados and 70,000 doses to Dominica this week.

Mongolia has signed an agreement to purchase 10 million doses of vaccine from India in addition to the 1.5 million doses it received as a gift, according to the newspaper.
