Mongolia seeks to extend heightened state of readiness until April 5

AKIPRESS.COM - State Emergency Commission of Mongolia proposes to extend the period of the Orange - Level 3 under the heightened state of readiness until April 5, said  Deputy Prime Minister and Head of the SEC S.Amarsaikhan.

In conjunction with the increasing number of coronavirus infection, it deemed proper to extend the period of Orange Level, which was imposed from March 15 to March 29. With the extension, changes will be made in time schedules of manufacturing and service organizations and guidelines will be issued for entities to strictly adhere infection protection regime during the period of Orange Level. The proposal will be presented and resolved finally at the Cabinet meeting, Montsame reports.

Although the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 has been growing drastically, it is considered proper to impose partial lockdown rather than city-wide strict lockdown as measures are being taken to isolate and treat patients with mild symptoms at home and mobile treatment teams are operating.

The Government and the SEC are paying attention on reducing the number of infection cases in a way of not restricting operations of entities as much as possible and promoting the economy alongside ensuring proper management, underlines the Deputy PM.
