AKIPRESS.COM - Russian President Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev at the latter’s initiative, Kremlin and Akorda said.
In view of the talks between the Russian and Kazakhstani prime ministers held on March 22 in Moscow, the presidents discussed a number of topical issues on the bilateral agenda, with a focus on further expanding trade and economic cooperation.
The two leaders paid special attention to stepping up efforts to counter the coronavirus pandemic, including the use of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine in Kazakhstan.
They also touched upon cooperation within integration associations in Eurasia and agreed to maintain contacts at various levels.
