AKIPRESS.COM - Mongolia confirmed 1,311 new daily coronavirus cases after 10,431 PCR tests conducted nationwide in the last 24 hours, the Health Ministry said on April 20.

1,214 of the confirmed cases were recorded in Ulaanbaatar city while 97 were registered in rural areas.

Total confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Mongolia have reached 24,195.

459 people have been discharged from hospital, making the total number of recoveries 12,860.

As of today, 3,520 people are undergoing treatment and of whom 63 are in critical condition.

Two people aged 75 and 82 have died from coronavirus. The two coronavirus-related deaths were reported in the capital city and Zavkhan aimag.
