AKIPRESS.COM - Kochkor district was founded in the 1930s.

It is located in the north-eastern part of Naryn region.

The area of Kochkor district is 64 thousand km2.

The administrative center is Kochkor village.

Until December 30, 1962 it was a part of Tien Shan region, and since December 11, 1970 it is a part of Naryn region.
