Mongolia repatriates 34,553 citizens

AKIPRESS.COM - Mongolia started organizing charter flights to repatriate its citizens stranded abroad due to the pandemic from January 28, 2020.

As May 18, 34,553 Mongolian nationals were brought back from 93 countries, Montsame reports.

Mongolia has repatriated 27,753 citizens by 170 charter flights and 6,788 citizens by ground transport means through the crossing checkpoints.

16 charter flights are scheduled for May.

As of May 18, six charter flights have brought 908 people home.
