
AKIPRESS.COM - First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Nuran Niyazaliev held an online meeting with the State Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany Niels Annen, the foreign ministry said.
They discussed Kyrgyz-German relations. Parties paid special attention to trade and economic partnership and necessity to reboot trade, economic and investment cooperation in the post-covid period. Also, they emphasized the importance of holding the First European Union – Central Asia Economic Forum and discussed issues of collaboration within the framework of international organizations.
They discussed the initiative of the German Foreign Ministry "Green Central Asia", which is aimed at sustainable development of the Central Asian region in the face of global climate change.
The Kyrgyz side expressed gratitude to the Government of Germany for its support in the fight against COVID-19, which included two visits of German doctors, assistance in the form of PCR-tests and other medical supplies. The possibility of supplying vaccines is being considered.
