AKIPRESS.COM - Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin met with European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell, who traveled to Dushanbe to attend the 17th EU-Central Asia Ministerial Meeting held on November 22.

The officials discussed issues of development of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and the EU and their prospects in political and economic spheres, security, environment, as well as in humanitarian area.

A constructive dialogue took place on the issues related to security and stability in the region, especially the situation in Afghanistan, threats of terrorism and extremism, international issues, as well as other topics of mutual interest, the Foreign Ministry of Tajikistan said.
