AKIPRESS.COM - Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated President Sadyr Japarov and the people of Kyrgyzstan on the 77th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, the press service of the president said.

In his message, Putin specifically noted that on this day "we pay tribute and show our respect to the soldiers and home front workers who crushed Nazism at the cost of innumerable sacrifices and hardships."

"I am convinced that the traditions of friendship and mutual assistance forged during the hard war years will continue to develop Russian-Kyrgyz relations in the spirit of alliance and strategic partnership," Putin said in his message.
